CRAPITALISM describes the negative aspects of capitalism when it becomes dysfunctional, exploitative, or excessively focused on profit at the expense of the Common Good:
- Inequality: A system that exacerbates wealth gaps, concentrating resources among a small billionaire-elite while leaving the majority struggling.
- Exploitation: Prioritizing profits over fair wages, labor rights, and humane working conditions.
- Elite Capture: Where a small group of privileged individuals control all the levers of power – economy, education, politics, the courts, military, and media.
- Environmental Destruction: Ignoring sustainable practices for short-term financial gains.
- Consumerism: Promoting unnecessary consumption through manipulative marketing, leading to waste and societal dissatisfaction.
- Corruption: Allowing corrupt ties between business and government cronies to undermine democracy.
- Destruction of the Common Good: Promoting the privatization and destruction of public goods and services, along with the total annihilation of the Natural World – for profit.
Is your business following Crapitalism’s degenerative playbook? Or is it working to regenerate the Common Good?
